What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient healing method rediscovered by Mikao Usui: through the healing power of the hands and touch, the patient’s energies are harmonized.
A soul in a vibrant and harmonious body will see this vital energy flow freely; however, if influenced by internal or external causes, often emotional in nature, it can stumble upon blocks or gaps.
If the energetic balance remains disturbed over time, it can turn into physical tension, contractions, spasms, pain, and illness.
Rei-ki is a Japanese word that translates as “Universal Energy.” It is a powerful energetic healing system encoded in our DNA. Once, we had an open knowledge of our innate healing abilities and embraced these arts with an open heart.

Why we lost this knowledge
Over the centuries, this wisdom was forgotten until the 1800s, when Mikao Usui, a Christian monk from Japan, searched for the ways Buddha and Jesus healed people so effectively. He was enlightened through the practical healing powers of Reiki.
Originating in the deep roots of Tibetan Buddhism, this “healing art” was brought by Mikao Usui to the modern Western world, introducing its teachings and creating what is now popularly known as the Usui Reiki Healing System.
“Rei” is the cosmic essence of life energy, and “ki” is its manifestation. Also known as “chi” in China, “prana” in India, interpreted by Sigmund Freud as “libido” and Wilhelm Reich as “orgone,” its search and identification have always intertwined various cultures in a harmonious mosaic.
Reiki is a loving balm for the soul seeking balance, flowing directly from the Universal Source. When the flow of life encounters obstacles, afflictions, tangible ones can find relief from its healing touch.

How does a Reiki treatment work?
You don’t need to be physically present to receive Reiki treatment, so to fully benefit from it, we will organize a special Zoom session lasting 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your choice.
It is a personalized treatment based on your emotional needs and the parts of your body requiring attention and care.
Therefore, we will start the Reiki session with a brief conversation, gathering the essential details and needs you feel at that moment or want to share, so that the treatment is targeted, conscious, and effective.
Then follows a short moment of “centering,” to promote a state of serenity and harmony, so you can best receive the energy channeled through my hands, which will work remotely on your body.
A Reiki session can last from 30 to 60 minutes, letting you choose between a shorter treatment or a longer, deeper healing. Each session is based on your real needs, so the times indicated are purely indicative.
